Quaker Women Competed at Terrier Relays

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The Guilford College track and field teams competed at the Terrier Relays, hosted by Wofford College, on Saturday. The meet featured mostly NCAA Division I and II teams.

Jamie Britt had a strong performance in the long jump. The freshman leaped 4.27 and placed 34th of 37 jumpers. 

Senior Sommer Fanney raced two times on Saturday. She clocked a 5:20.32 in the 1500 meter run, which was good enough for 29th of the 50 runners. In the 400, her time of 1:06.68 was 26th of 31 competitors. 

The Quaker track and field teams return to action next Friday (4/6) at the VertKlasse meet hosted by High Point University.
