Greensboro, NC (9/27/05) -- Freshman Amanda Sperr netted her first college hat trick and junior Jennah Carter tallied two goals and an assist in Guilford's convincing 7-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's soccer win over Emory & Henry Tuesday. Carter, who had a hat trick in Guilford's 4-0 win over Saturday, now has a team-high 11 goals through 10 matches. The Quakers scored a season-high seven goal in their third straight victory and improved their overall record to 6-3-1 (2-2 ODAC). The Wasps fall to 5-3-1 (1-2 ODAC) with the loss. Senior Trina Scurka scored her first two goals of 2005 and sophomore Erin Rothweiler notched two assists for the Quakers.
Emory & Henry's Colleen Johnson netted her team-leading ninth goal of the season to avert the shutout.
Guilford continues its season-long six-match home stand Saturday (10/1) against ODAC-rival Eastern Mennonite at 4:00 p.m.
