Winners of six straight games the Quakes are ranked 25th in this week's Women's Basketball Coaches Association NCAA Division III Poll.
The first half was a back-and-forth affair with both teams fighting for the advantage. Roanoke (4-2, 2-1 ODAC) led by as many as three points twice in the first frame, but the Quakers rallied to tie the score at 11 by the end of the quarter.
Roanoke opened the scoring in the second quarter with a quick three to gain the lead and held for a slight 22-19 halftime advantage.
The Maroons went on an 11-0 run in the first two minutes of the third quarter to make the score 33-19. Guilford continued to battle and cut the deficit to 38-32 after three quarters.
Miracle Walters sparked Guilford's comeback with several driving layups, including one at the 6:27 mark that tied the game at 41-41. Roanoke's Kristina Harrel converted two free throws to regain the lead, but Davis answered with a three that gave Guilford the 44-43 edge with just under five minutes remaining.
The Quakers never looked back and enjoyed an 11-0 run in the game's final 90 seconds to secure the win. Six of those 11 points came at the charity stripe, where Guilford connected on 22-of-26 shots.
