Quakers Men's Track & Field Team Competes at JDL DMR Invite

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Guilford College's track and field teams competed at the nonscoring DMR Invitational at the JDL Fast Track Saturday. The meet featured contestants from all levels of college competition, ranging from junior colleges all the way up to Division I.

Amir Abdur-Rahim turned in a personal-best time of 24.81 seconds in the 200-meter dash. He placed 21st among 28 runners. Abdur-Rahim also ran Guilford's second-fastest 400 time of the year with a 54.34 mark that placed 20th.

Ben James represented the Quakers in the 800 and his time of two minutes, 14 seconds is the second-fastest by a Guilford runner this season.

Coach Marty Owens' charges compete at next Sunday's (2/24) Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships at Roanoke College.
