Houston, Mitchell Shine on Track and Field Team's Opening Day

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Sophomore Juwan Houston turned in Guilford's best effort in two events to highlight Friday's opening day of competition at the non-scoring East Tennessee State Track & Field Invitational. The Quakers are the lone NCAA Division III team competing in the predominantly Division I and Division II field.

Josephus Mitchell's 7.175 paced four Quakers in the 60-meter dash and placed 47th among 103 runners. Alex Martin came home in 62nd place in 7.287 seconds. Martin had Guilford's second-best 200 time (23.48) on the day.
