GREENSBORO, N.C. - Guilford won all six singles matches and two of three doubles tilts in its 8-1 home win over Greensboro College Wednesday.
The Quakers entered singles play with a 2-1 lead after winning two doubles matches. Greensboro's Matt Troy and Kyle Gatti pulled out a 9-8 win over Guilford's Trevor Cox and Aaron Smedley in the first doubles flight, which accounted for the Pride point.
Guilford captain Turner Votipka was one of four two-time winners for the Quakers. He downed Greensboro's Matt Miller, 6-0, 6-3, at first singles. Rookie Levi Bruff also won in straight sets for the Quakers and fourth singles.
