GREENSBORO, N.C. (4/11/10) -- Guilford College's men's and women's tennis teams posted Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victories over visiting Randolph College Sunday.
The Quakers' women evened their overall record to 5-5 (2-5 ODAC) with a 6-3 victory over the Wildcats (6-4, 3-4 ODAC). Guilford's men (4-5, 3-3 ODAC) won by forfeit when Randolph (1-10, 0-8 ODAC) dressed out only two competitors.
In the women's contest, Guilford's Mary Simpson registered a 6-2, 7-6 (9-7) victory over first-singles rival Lori Gerlach. Simpson teamed with Megan Fair to claim an 8-2 second-doubles triumph over the Wildcats' Madison Kebler and Samantha Wittie.
Fair also won twice, scoring a 6-3, 6-2 win at fourth singles. Guilford's first doubles tandem of Nina Bollag and Liz Killion also won in both singles and doubles.
The Quakers play their third ODAC match in as many days when they host Roanoke College Monday (4/12) at 3:00 p.m.
Guilford's men host Roanoke Wednesday (4/14) at 3:00 p.m.
