  • Guilford Lands Three on All-ODAC Men's Tennis Team

    Guilford College placed three students on the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's (ODAC) Second Team All-ODAC Men's Tennis squad, league officials announced Thursday. Juniors Jose Ortiz and Caleb Kimbrough joined rookie Will Mason-Deese as Guilford's honorees. The Quakers also received the ODAC's Sportsmanship Award. The conference's head men's tennis coaches determined the annual postseason honors.
  • Guilford Ranked in Preseason ODAC Tennis Polls

    Guilford College's men's tennis team was ranked sixth in the preseason Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Coaches' Poll released Thursday. The Quakers' women's tennis team earned the number-seven spot in the ODAC's women's preseason poll. The league's head coaches selected the polls.

    Guilford's men's tennis team has a new look as first-year head coach Bert Poole brings an optimistic outlook and over 20 years of coaching experience to this year’s squad. "I believe this is a very solid team from top to bottom, and I have a lot of confidence in this group," Poole said. The addition of three new players, all of whom will get significant playing time, should make the winless 2005-06 campaign (0-11) a distant memory.
