NORMAN, Okla. – Guilford College's men's golf team was ranked fourth in the preseason NCAA Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches' Poll released Friday. Selections were made by Division III men's golf coaches under the auspices of the Golf Coaches' Association of America.

The Quakers collected 347 points and trail first-place University of Texas-Tyler (379 points), defending national champion Wittenberg University (367), and Methodist University (351). Huntingdon College earned 346 points and rounds out the top five. Guilford city rival, Greensboro College, is ranked sixth.

Coach Justin Tereshko's Quakers return five members of last year's squad that won the ODAC Championship and placed second at the NCAA PING championships. Junior Josh Hill (Superior, Colo./Monarch High School) a 2017 honorable mention All-American looks to lead the Quakers to another successful campaign. Hill is coming off of a memorable season where he led the ODAC and was named to the All-ODAC team. Hill thrice recorded his low round of the season (71) and led the ODAC in stroke average at 74.8 strokes per round.

Other key veterans include sophomore Zachary Evens, senior Harrison Frye, and sophomore Kell Graham. Evens joined Hill as a first Team All-ODAC selection after averaging 75.00 in 23 rounds.

Tereshko's squad opens up their season this weekend at the Transylvania Fall Invitational in Lexington, Ky.
