Jordan Farmer '15 joined the Quakers’ coaching staff as the linebackers coach in the spring of 2016. Middle linebacker Bryce Smith '20 led NCAA Division III in solo tackles per game and earned D3football.com All-South commendation under Farmer's tutelage in 2018. After three seasons as a defensive assistant, he was promoted to co-defensive coordinator in 2019.
Farmer concluded a solid playing career at Guilford in 2014, totaling 77 tackles and six-and-a-half sacks. A 2015 Guilford grad and dean's list student, he earned his degree in exercise and sport sciences.
Farmer returned to Guilford after a brief tenure at North Carolina Wesleyan. He served as the linebackers coach for the Battling Bishops in 2015 season.
Farmer played for coach DeVore Holman at Davie County High School and helped the War Eagles to their first North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 4A final in 2010.
