2010: Started in all 10 of the Quakers' games this season... was team's lone captain... recorded a career-high 67 tackles on the season, (37 solo), which ranked second on the team and seventh in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC)... best performance came against Randolph-Macon College Oct. 23, when he recorded 10 tackles, nine solo... performed well against Methodist University where he had a 11 career-high tackles and a fumble recovery, one of three games in which he led the team in tackles... for his career, LaPlaca played in 27 games in three years, compiling 106 total tackles, 54 solo and 52 assisted, and 6.5 tackles for loss... has seven deflected passes, one assisted sack, and two fumble returns in his career... plans to graduate in May 2011 with a double major in sport management and economics and a minor in business.2009: Earned a starting job in preseason camp and kept it throughout the year... enjoyed the finest season of his career... ranked seventh on the team in tackles, second in interceptions and third in pass break ups... made a career-high eight tackles, including half a sack, at Bridgewater... picked off two passes in Guilford's road win over Catholic... made five stops and returned a fumble 42 yards for his first college touchdown versus Washington and Lee... 2008: Appeared in seven games on special teams... 2007: Saw no game action...
