ODAC to Video Webcast 2008 Football Media Day

SALEM, Va. (8/6/08) -- The opening event of the 2008-09 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) athletic schedule can be viewed by more than those just in attendance.  For the second consecutive year, the ODAC will be video webcasting its 2008 Football Media Day LIVE over the Internet.  Thanks to Penn Atlantic, provider of the league's streaming services, the event will be FREE to all viewers.  The annual kickoff meeting is set for Friday, August 8 at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Virginia.  It will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Media looking to attend the event should contact the ODAC office at 540-387-9073 or by email at jnekoloff@odaconline.com. To view the video webcast, click HERE.

The conference's seven head coaches will be in attendance to provide insight into each of their programs for the upcoming gridiron campaign.  Several preseason materials will also be available including conference and school media guides, team and composite schedules, and the preseason coaches' poll.

Each of the ODAC schools has 10 games slated for the 2008 season.  All begin play on Saturday, September 6, in non-conference action.  The ODAC-only portion of the schedule kicks off on Saturday, September 27, with a pair of league matchups.
