  • in his two Guilford seasons after transferring from the Community College of Allegheny County, Goettler went 9-4 with a 4.50 ERA and 107 strikeouts in 120 innings



Personal: Transferred from Community College of Allegheny County South Campus… twice named First Team All-State while at Allegheny… four-year letterwinner coach Mort Cape’s East Allegheny H.S. team… named All-Section twice… won the Western Pennsylvania K-King Award for strikeouts in a season as a junior and senior… an inductee of the Pittsburgh High School Sports Hall of Fame… pitched in the Palomino League and won championship in ’98… was named to the all-region and East Coast Palomino teams… his brother Brian pitches for Westminster (PA) College.
