  • Played tennis at Guilford from 1977 through 1981.
  • She was a pioneer who helped the Quakers win the NAIA National Championship in 1981. 
  • A singles champion at the North Carolina AIAW State Tournament in1980, she was one of the first female athletes at Guilford to compete for national honors.
  • Went on to win All-District and All-America honors in 1981.
  • After a successful athletic career at Guilford, she went on to enjoy continued success as an athletic trainer, coach and, currently, a physician assistant.
  • As a tennis coach and trainer at Greensboro College, she won Dixie Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (DIAC) Coach of the Year in 1986.
  • She resides in Greensboro and is employed by the Murphy-Wainer Orthopedic Specialists and Sports Medicine Center.
