  • He was a star player for the Quakers’ soccer team in the 1980s.
  • As a defender, he became Guilford’s first soccer player to receive All-Carolinas Conference honors three times.
  • In 1983, he won the NAIA District 26 Men’s Soccer Player of the Year award.
  • He also received the Guilford College Senior Excellence award in 1984, the same year he won Academic All-America honors.
  • He became a certified financial planner in 1987 and works as the Vice President of Finance for Quintiles, Inc. 
  • He currently resides in Raleigh and is an active member of the NCACPA and the Wake Medical President’s Club.
