Mogavero Leads Guilford at Charlotte Invitational

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Guilford College sophomore Anne Mogavero posted the school's second-fastest five-kilometer time Friday afternoon at the Charlotte Cross Country Invitational at McAlpine Park. Virginia Tech won the 34-team women's race. The Quakers were the lone Division III team competing at the meet.

Mogavero notched Guilford's top s time and finished the five-kilometer race in 151st place among 289 runners. The Quakers' Jasmine O'Neill (22:02.24) and Emily Cash (23:00.66) finished second and third on the team, respectively. Annie Motta (23:13.06) and Jodie Geddes (24:19.39) took fourth and fifth to complete the team scoring.  Guilford was 32nd in the 36-team field.

The Quakers' cross country teams will next compete in the North Carolina Collegiate Championships October 15.
