Guilford Women Continue to Break Season, School Records at Kent Taylor Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.---Guilford College Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field improved on many school and season records at the Kent Taylor Invitational, hosted by the University of North Carolina. Guilford was the lone Division III entrant in a field of Division I participants.

Guilford's women's 4x400 meter relay team of Emily Cash, Rachel Flint, Pasangi Perera, and Jasmine O'Neill (4:40.59) broke the school-best mark by 3.6 seconds.

O'Neill also broke a record of her own in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:34.90.  The mark was 1.11 seconds better than her own record set two weekends ago.

Jennifer Thomas (8.84 seconds) just missed her own school record in the 60 meter dash by .04 seconds.  Thomas (30.89 seconds) also just missed her own school record in the 200 meter dash by .84 seconds.

Rachel Flint (1:09.92) missed the season-best mark in the 400 meter run by just 1.04 seconds and the school record by 1.21 seconds.

The Quakers now prepare for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships to be held this Friday, February 22nd at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.
