Guilford Women Compete in the Winston-Salem State Open

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.---Guilford College's women's indoor track team competed in the Winston-Salem State Open at the JDL Fast Track. The meet featured NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA schools from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

Malikah French led Guilford's women's field event participants with a seventh-place finish in the high jump (1.42 meters), leading all Division III participants.  French also led Division III participants in the triple jump, earning a mark of 10.30 meters.

Kaylea Trogdon broke her own school record in the long jump with a mark of 4.62 meters, third amongst Division III competitors.

Emily Cash (2:51.26) led all Division III contestants in the 800-meter run.

Freshman Rebecca Reyna finished second among Division III participants and 11th overall in the mile run, posting a time of 6:01.98.

Coach Danny Cash's team returns to action January 25-26 at the Liberty University Open in Lynchburg, Va.
