LYNCHBURG, Va. – Freshman Jasmine O'Neill set a Guilford College record in the 200-meter dash Friday at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships. She placed 23rd in the race with a time of 29.82 seconds, over half-a-second faster than the previous mark (30.43), which she set this March at the Wake Forest Invitational.
Classmate Emily Cash ran the first 100 race in school history and turned in a time of 15.39 seconds, good enough for 22nd place. Gretta Eller took 16th in the hammer with a toss of 13.25 meters. Jodie Geddes qualified for Saturday's 400 finals with a time of 1:14.42 that stands second in Guilford history.
The Quakers did not score in Friday's six scored events. Roanoke College leads the eight-team field with 54.3 points. League newcomer Shenandoah University is second with 36 points.
The meet concludes Saturday (4/21) at Lynchburg College.
