O'Neill Narrowly Misses School 800 Record at Duke Invite

DURHAM, N.C. – Guilford College's women's track and field team competed at the Duke University Invitational April 6-7 at Wallace Wade Stadium.

Freshman Jasmine O'Neill narrowly missed breaking her own school record in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:35.87. She set the Guilford standard of 2:35.50 March 24 at the VertKlasse Meeting at High Point University.

Teammate Emily Cash ran her first college 5,000 in 22:03.59, the fourth-fastest time in Guilford history.

Interim coach Danny Cash's team competes next Saturday (4/14) at the UNC Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C.
