GREENSBORO, N.C. - Guilford College's women's tennis team extended its winning streak to a season-high six with a 7-2 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory over visiting Emory & Henry College Saturday.
The victory improved the Quakers' overall record to 9-7 (6-3 ODAC). Emory & Henry falls to 6-11 (2-7 ODAC).
Sophomore Natalie Sutton won in straight sets at second singles over Emory & Henry's Sarah Vishnev, 6-2, 6-0, and posted an 8-3 first-doubles win with Kim Kleimeier. Kleimeier won at fourth singles, a 6-3, 6-1, victory over Sheyenne Cleveland.
Guilford's Dominique Crespo won the day's closest match, a 6-3, 6-4, triumph over Emily Bolt at third singles. She teamed with Adelaide Ayres for an 8-1 third-doubles victory over Casey Blackburn and Izzy Cropp.
Guilford entertains Southern Virginia University Tuesday (4/3) at 3:30 p.m. in a match rescheduled from March 24.
