Quakers' Women Win Fifth Straight Tennis Match

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Guilford College's women's tennis team extended its winning streak to a season-high five with a 9-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory over visiting Sweet Briar College Saturday.

The victory improved the Quakers' overall record to 8-7 (5-3 ODAC). Sweet Briar falls to 2-8 (0-6 ODAC).

Freshman Haley Andrews posted a 6-3, 6-1 win over the Vixens' Sarah Manter at first singles and teamed with Allison Hewitt for an 8-0 second-doubles triumph over Sweet Briar's Yuliya Rigg and Courtney Todd.

Sophomore Natalie Sutton won in straight sets over Sweet Briar's Allie Raifsnider, 6-1, 6-2, and posted an 8-3 first-doubles win with Kim Kleimeier. Kleimeier won at third singles in the day's closest match, a 6-4, 6-3, victory over Emma Merritt-Cuneo.
