Shenandoah Defeats Guilford, 2-0

GREENSBORO, N.C.---Shenandoah University's Hannah Oakes and Stormie Malik both scored in the Hornets' two goals 2-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) soccer win over Guilford College Saturday.

Oakes flicked a one-timer into the goal off a Sarah Hensley free kick in the 15th minute to put the Hornets on the board.  After 54 scoreless minutes, Stormie Malik booted a deflection through a crowded six-yard box on a corner kick to give the Hornets a 2-0 lead.

The Hornets outshot the Quakers, 21-7. Guilford senior Miriam Davis-Rosenbaum made a career-high seven saves in net for the Quakers.  Nichole Pratt made four stops in the Hornets' shutout.

The Quakers return to action Tuesday when Guilford travels to Washington and Lee University.
