GREENSBORO, N.C. – Kristin Habig's goal broke a 1-1 tie in the 87th minute and sent visiting Methodist University's 2-1 nonconference soccer win at Guilford College Wednesday night.
The Quakers held a 15-13 shots advantage over the Monarchs, but Methodist outshot the Guilford, 11-6, in the final 45 minutes.
Junior Cori Karoly made five saves for the Quakers, all in the second half. Taylor Ross kept the Monarchs in the game with eight stops.
The Quakers now begin a stretch of three straight road games with a pair of games Saturday and Sunday against Rowan University and the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va.
