LYNCHBURG, Va. – Summer Frazier scored five goals and two assists in Guilford College's 20-8 lacrosse win at Randolph College Saturday.
Frazier did all of her scoring in the first half as the Quakers (5-10, 4-4 ODAC) raced to a 17-5 halftime lead. The Wildcats' (1-13, 0-8 ODAC) Ashley Edwards scored the game's first goal 1:16 into the match, but Guilford answered with an 8-1 run that featured three goals and two assists by Frazier. The Quakers closed the half on another 8-1 run.
Ten different Quakers dent the twine as Guilford fell two goals shy of matching the school record for goals in a game. Kathryn Carella tallied three goals, an assist and caused a game-high three turnovers. Reegan Carbone and E'leyna Garcia both added two goals and one assist. Guilford's Becca Colley picked up a game-high seven ground balls in addition to her two goals.
Edwards scored three of Randolph's goals, two in the first half. Samie Maggard added two scores and goalie Ashley Stevens had four saves and three ground balls.
Guilford closes the regular season Wednesday at league-rival Sweet Briar College in a match rescheduled from March.
