Marymount Snaps Quakers’ Four-Game Winning Streak
ARLINGTON, Va. --- Katelyn Fischer had 17 points in Marymount's University's 56-52 basketball win over Guilford College Sunday. The nonconference opponents snapped the Quakers' four-game winning streak.
Guilford (8-3) trailed by 14 in the first half, shooting eight-from-21 from the floor. A Kayla Adams' three-pointer brought the Quakers within eight at halftime. Guilford tied the score twice in the second half, but was never able to claim the lead.
Oglesby led the Quakers with 14 points. Kayla Adams added 12 points off the bench. Morgan King tallied game-high 11 rebounds and had eight points. Jaclyn Nucci also scored eight points and stood second on the team in boards (10).
The Quakers next play home Jan. 5 against Randolph-Macon College at 2:00 p.m. in the Ragan-Brown Field House.
