LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Dylan Skinner, Johnathan Smith and Chad Norton all won their individual races and in the process broke the school records in each event at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Indoor Track Championships Friday. Guilford finished fifth overall earning 48 points at the meet.
Skinner's time of 1:55.43 in the 800-meter run shaved more than three seconds off of the previous standard he set earlier this month. Later in the meet, Norton smashed the Quakers' two-year old record in the 5000-meter run posting a time of 15:21.04, chopping over 12 seconds off of the previous mark.
Smith continues to rewrite the sprinting standards at Guilford College. His time of 6.86 in the 60-meter dash broke the record he set in late January of this year. Smith also finished in second-place in the 200-meter dash and notched the second-fastest 200 time in school history, 22.74.
Josh Farrar finished fourth in the 400-meter run (52.28), while posting the second fastest time in school history. David Cason competed in the mile race finishing fifth overall with a time of 4:28.62, the fourth-best time in school history.
