FOREST, Va. – Guilford College junior Josh Hill earned his first Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Men's Golfer of the Week Award Monday. This is the second time a Quaker has received the award this season. Teammate Zachary Evens won the September 4 honor.
Hill led Guilford to a first-place finish at the Tom Kinder Memorial Tournament September 11 in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He led the team with an eight-under 136, which placed second on the 90-man leaderboard and included a career-low five-under 67 round. Hill's score was the fourth-lowest 36–hole score in Guilford history.
Through four rounds in two events, Hill has had three rounds under par and owns a league-leading 69.25 stroke average.
Hill and coach Justin Tereshko's Quakers compete in the Tournament Town Preview September 24-25 at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina. Guilford was ranked fourth in the preseason Bushnell/Golfweek NCAA Division III Poll.
