PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – Guilford College's men's golf team placed 11th among 18 teams at the 36-hole Callaway Gardens Intercollegiate Tuesday. The Quakers shot 309-305-614 over the two-day tournament on Callaway Gardens' par-72, 6,976-yard Mountain View Course.

Emory University shot 297-299-596 to win the team title by one shot over LaGrange College (299-298-597). Oglethorpe University (303-297-600) shot Tuesday's low team score, which vaulted the Stormy Petrels into third place, one shot ahead of the University of the South (300-301-601) and first-round leader Huntingdon College (296-305-601).

Despite shaving five strokes off Monday's opening-round score, Guilford could not gain any ground in the team standings. Freshman Kell Graham shot the Quakers' low score Tuesday and had the team's best finish (T21) among 102 contestants. Graham scored 77-74-151 over the 36 holes, one shot better than teammates Josh Hill (76-76-142) and Zach Evens (77-75-142). Hill and Evens shared 28th place. Justin Perdue provided Guilford's fourth score Tuesday with a round of 80. He placed 85th at 85-80-165, four shots behind teammate Harrison Frye (79-82-161).

Washington and Lee University's Brian Peccie and Christopher Newport University's David Rabil shared the top spot on the individual leaderboard at 145. Both students shot 75-70. Five contestants shared third place, one stroke behind, including Logan Lanier and Osborn Theam of LaGrange.

Coach Justin Tereshko's Quakers, ranked 12th in the latest Bushnell Golfweek Division III Coaches' Poll, and 15th in Division III by Golfstat.com, return to the links March 17-19 at the Jekyll Island Invitational.
