Lowder Shines in Men's Basketball Win Over Randolph

GREENSBORO, N.C. (2/12/11) -- Gabriel Lowder scored a game-high 19 points off the bench in Guilford College's 65-48 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) basketball victory over visiting Randolph College Saturday.

The Quakers' (16-7, 10-4 ODAC) 11th win in 13 outings secures their third-place position in the league standings. The Wildcats drop to 15-8 (8-6 ODAC) with their second straight loss.

Lowder scored 12 points in the second half, which helped the Quakers extend their 31-25 halftime lead. The Wildcats drew no closer than seven points in the second half as Guilford held its guests to 37.5 percent shooting in the second half.

Guilford's T.C. Anderson added 10 points and Brad Monroe chipped in with eight points and a game-high eight rebounds.

Colton Hunt paced Randolph with 15 points and six assists.

Guilford visits league-rival Hampden-Sydney College Wednesday (2/16) at 7:00 p.m.
