FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Guilford College's Stewart Laws hit four-for-four with two RBI as the Quakers claimed a Wednesday evening victory over Methodist University, 10-4.

Methodist posted a three-run rally in the bottom of the fourth inning to claim a four-run lead as the Monarchs boosted their rally after recording the first out. Alex Kachler capped the rally with a RBI-double with two outs to extend the lead.

The Quakers (4-2) responded one half-inning later posting a four-run rally, all with two outs. Guilford's meat of the order produced three-straight singles after Rocco Wilcox doubled to put runners in scoring position. Trevor Denton and Joe Metts produced RBI-singles while Laws capped the rally with a two-RBI single to tie the game. Metts sparked Guilford's second two-out rally, coming in the top of the seventh inning with a triple to right-center field. After Laws took an intentional walk, Mitchell Stumpo produced a double to left field to claim the lead for the Quakers. Logan Washle later later cleared  the bases with a two-RBI single to left field.

The Monarchs attempted to rally one half-inning later, placing runners at the corners with two outs, but Brody Holloman induced fly out one at-bat later to end the inning.

The Quakers posted a three-run rally to put the game out of reach in the top of the ninth inning. Josh Shepherd capped the two-out rally with a RBI-double.

John Todd and Ty Walser struck out two batters a piece for the Quakers as Todd started the game with Walser following the next inning. Logan Jones (1-0) claimed the win for the Quakers and threw two innings, only allowing one base runner on a walk and fanning one batter.

The Quakers return home Saturday, hosting Division II Bluefield State for a 1 p.m. contest.
