Honorary Coaches: Groome, Phillip and Craig Fulton

On Wednesday, November 28 Guilford honored three very special alumni who have made lifetime commitments to athletics at Guilford College - brothers Groome, Phillip, and Craig Fulton. They served as our very first honorary coaches at the buzzer-beating victory over Eastern Mennonite. Groome, Phillip, Craig and the entire Fulton family have been wonderful leaders at Guilford for many years.  At the game, the College honored their father, WG Fulton, with a plaque located on the entrance to the men’s basketball locker room.  

  

 

Since 1956, the Quaker Club has been supporting Guilford College and its student-athletes. Founded by Hall of Fame coach and athletic director, Dr. Herb Appenzeller, the Quaker Club is guided by a volunteer board of directors and funds special projects for the benefit of the athletics department.
